According to the Chinese leaker WHYLAB, it seems that we will see a Black Shark 5RS. This model is absolutely new and it seems that it will replace the S model that debuted with the fourth generation of gaming phones. As anticipated, we expect the processor to change but it is good to know that we will not find a MediaTek SoC: All three models will come with a Snapdragon processor. It is certainly three Snapdragon series 8.
Having said that, let's get back to the heart of the matter. When will the Black Shark 5 series be released? The company has released the official poster communicating that the series will be presented on March 30 next. Clearly this date refers to the presentation in China. We expect the device to arrive in Europe a few months late. Likewise, we expect that not all models will debut in the Global market: theRS for example, shouldn't come.
Below are the specifications of the standard and Pro models. According to TENAA, the Black Shark 5 Pro, recognized by the numeric code KTUS-A0, will come with a AMOLED display from 6.67”And a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The device will be powered by an octa-core processor Snapdragon 8 Gen1 paired with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, depending on configuration. Clearly there will be two configurations for internal storage, namely 256 GB and 512 GB. When it comes to memory, we should expect one RAM of type LPDDR5X and UFS 3.1 storage. The dimensions of Black Shark 5 Pro will be 163.86 x 76.53 x 9.8 mm for a weight of 226 grams.
As for the standard model, the "heart" will be the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. The amount of RAM will be 8GB or 12GB and the hard disk drive will be 128GB or 256GB.
