In recent weeks, there have been various rumors regarding the upcoming Xiaomi flagships that will have to compete with the smartphones of other manufacturers during the second half of this year. Specifically, it is rumored that the first should be an enhanced variant of the current Xiaomi flagship and therefore will be called Xiaomi Mi 5S, while the second device is the long-awaited second generation of the Mi Note, namely the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Precisely these two devices are the protagonists of a new rumor in which we talk about a feature related to the display panel.
In fact, as reported by the insider Mocha RQ, both the Xiaomi Mi 5S and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be characterized by a pressure sensitive display. However, what really caught our attention is not so much this information, but rather the fact that this technology will be "significantly better" than that already seen on other Android devices. As a result, we can expect a superior implementation of this technology, especially on the software side, where Xiaomi is constantly refining / improving.
Furthermore, according to this source, the Xiaomi Mi 5S will have a display similar to that of its younger brother (with a diagonal from 5.15 ″ inches and full-HD resolution) but substantially improved, as in addition to being pressure sensitive, will also have Qualcomm's new Ultrasonic technology for fingerprint recognition, along with the ability to integrate a dual photo sensor on the back. The same also applies to the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 which, in addition to having the same features as the Xiaomi Mi 5S, will feature the classic 5,7 "diagonal display with full-HD resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU. However, on this last point, we struggle to believe that this version is again but we believe the adoption of the Snapdragon 821 is more likely. Finally, the probable presence of a ceramic body for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also rumored but considering all the problems that have arisen with the Xiaomi Mi 5, we are very wary that the company will take this path again.
Excluding the presence of a ceramic back cover, the features that will be provided by these two Xiaomi flagships could really materialize, especially because it is in line with current standards. However, being in the presence of corridor voices, at present we can only do everything very light and wait a few more weeks.
