Assembly and Package Contents
The bike it arrived in a week from Eleglide warehouse in Europe, perfectly packed with protective polystyrene e partially assembled. All we have to do is fix the handlebars, the front wheel and the pedals. It can all be done in an hour even by yourself and if you have a minimum of practicality.
Il accelerator kit which transforms the bike into full-electric and is optional even if very comfortable, which is why I installed it. Know that this type of mode is not legal in Italy, so use it at your own risk of a fine.
As always, I advise you to check the tightness of all the screws because even if it is checked by the factory in China, during the journey with vibrations, it is not uncommon to find how many screws are loose.
This is the contents of the package:
- Complete electric bike
- Charger (100-240V 2,2A input, 42V 2A output)
- User Manual
- Accelerator kit
- Assembly tool kit
- Rear/wheel reflectors
Design
The Eleglide M1 Plus 29″ has the design of a classic mountain bike with a pleasant combination of black and gray in contrast with the bright yellow Eleglide design and logo. It stands out on the frame 12.4Ah 36V battery which can also be extracted, after having unlocked it with the key supplied, to recharge it comfortably at home or for safety reasons.
The dimensions of this version are generous (181x70x108 cm) but not so much the weight which is only 22,8kg which guarantees excellent driveability. The saddle is adjustable, suitable for heights between 165-200 cm.
Excellent welds and robustness in general which allow it to be tolerated loads up to 120kg which is a feature that
Sul handlebars we find on the left the on-board computer with 1,7″ display which shows all the total and partial information about our route. It uses very large numbers and is sufficiently visible even under sunlight, it is also IPX4 certified for use in the rain. The buttons for changing the assistance mode and one for turning the bike on/off, turning on the front LED, changing the data displayed on the display are integrated into the computer and easily reachable with the left thumb.
On the handlebars we also find the two gear levers 21 Shimano gears, entry-level but precise and reliable.
Performance and autonomy
The Eleglide M1 Plus 29″ features a engine from 250W supported by a 450Wh battery that reaches the remarkable thrust of 45Nm enough to climb 15° slopes quite easily in assisted mode. I was pleasantly surprised by the push, considered the small engine that falls within the limits of the law, but which provides prompt and effective help.
We have 5 levels of assistance available which interrupt assistance when reaching speed: Level 1 at 12km/h; level 2 at 16km/h; level 3 at 20km/h; level 4 at 23km/h; level 5 at 25km/h (or 32km/h if you unlock it with the instructions in the manual).
The thrust is also managed well and offers progression but as in all e-bikes like this one with a speed sensor, we have a small initial void which can be problematic when starting uphill but which is easily compensated for with the manual accelerator if you decide to mount it.
Overall theWhole electric assist system works very well and it provided me with the necessary help to ease the effort of pedaling even uphill over 15 ° it is still necessary.
La 12.5Ah battery recharge in 7 hours and “should” guarantee a range of 100km with a 75kg driver at 15km/h. In my tests which were not at all thrifty so with maximum assistance and often challenging climbs, I managed to cover them at least 60 km on one charge.

Comfort and safety
The Eleglide M1 Plus 29″ is a mountain bike obviously suitable for off-road despite the 29″ CST tires not being very knobby. However, I had fun on roads that were still partially muddy and even on gravel I always felt safe.
La fork is hydraulically cushioned with an excursion of 8 cm, the possibility of locking it if you prefer a more rigid setup. Driving is comfortable on rough terrain but also on potholed roads.
Il braking system it is of the mechanical disc type, both on the front and rear, with 16 cm discs that generate decisive but sufficiently modulable braking, furthermore the electric motor interrupts the assistance immediately. Even downhill or at high speed, the bike stops in a reasonable distance.
Speaking of security it is right to mention the the integrated LED light on the front, powerful and orientable. But also the reflectors placed both on the spokes of the wheels and on the rear saddle allow you to be clearly visible when the sun sets.
Eleglide M1 Plus 29″ – Conclusions and Price
The Eleglide M1 Plus 29″ is an electric bike that is pleasant to ride in all conditions, furthermore it is one of the few (perhaps the only) economical e-bike with a LARGE frame.
The engine is not very powerful but at least is within the law. Disc brakes and suspension fork are appreciated for relaxed and safe rides.
The value for money is incredible considering the technical equipment available which is extensive and of good quality. It's difficult to ask for more from a product in this range.
