Elon Musk, the multi-talented entrepreneur known for his daring technology ventures, today unveiled e launched XAI, a new company which, of course, is based on and uses artificial intelligence. xAI's stated goal, as reported on its website, is to “understand the true nature of the universe“, an ambition that mirrors Musk's visionary approach. A team of experts for an ambitious mission by Elon Musk
The xAI team, led by Musk, is composed of professionals who have gained significant experience in leading companies in the AI field, including OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research e DeepMind. Team members include Igor Babuschkin, Manuel Kroiss, Yuhuai Wu, Christian Szegedy, Jimmy Ba, Toby Pohlen, Ross Nordeen, Kyle Kosic, Greg Yang, Guodong Zhang, and Zihang Dai. The xAI team is currently recommended by Then Hendrycks, a researcher who currently directs the Center for AI Safety, a non-profit organization that aims to “reduce the risks associated with AI on a societal scale”.
xAI: a future of collaborations and innovations
According to xAI's website, the company, while separate from Musk's X Corp, will work closely with Twitter, Tesla and other companies owned by Elon Musk. This collaboration promises to lead to breakthrough innovations in artificial intelligence.
The launch of xAI marks another chapter in Musk's efforts in the field of AI. After co-founded OpenAI in 2015 and having left in 2018 to avoid a conflict of interest with Tesla, Musk has now launched xAI, a venture that promises to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence even further.
