To make the alarm ring on this quiet Sunday morning in mid-March, we thought of the popular Weibo Chinese social network. According to a well-informed user, it seems that Xiaomi has scheduled a conference for the end of this month, but that during this conference will not unfortunately be presented Xiaomi Mi 6.
But that's not all! To trigger the alarm are also the words of the well-known blogger KJuma:
According to the mysterious blogger, Xiaomi would have another terminal in the RedMi series, whose salient features would be: SoC Mediatek octacore, curved 2.5D screen, dual camera and fingerprint detection sensor at the back. We remind you that KJuma was the first - and that I know, the only one - to announce that in the presentation conference of Xiaomi's proprietary chip, Pinecone Surge S1, two smartphones would be announced, one of which belongs to the RedMi series. But this is just the latest example of how many advances it has spread and been realized. In short, if KJuma says something, we are obliged to take it into account.
What makes me think that this conference is finally presented Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is that the voices of his presentation soon become more and more insistent, as well as the fact that the price of the current Xiaomi tablet, the 2 Mi Pad, has dropped and you can find very attractive offers in the stores that send even outside of China.
In all this there is a consideration: for a possible RedMi Pro 2 there has been no news of its certification by the use of the Chinese national certification body, or alleged tests have not been leaked on sites such as Geekbench or GFXBench. But this does not exclude that this smartphone exists, bearing in mind that the first RedMi Pro was released in July of the 2016 and that after about eight months are ripe for a renewal of the line.
Obviously at the end there is still no certainty, no statement by Xiaomi.

13 / 03 Update: in the meantime new features have emerged for the now certain RedMi Pro 2! The new Pro of the RedMi series would be equipped with a SoC Mediatek Helio P25, a dual processor for ISP images to 12bit, thus supporting the dual camera, metal body design, memory cuts from 4 / 64GB and 6 / 128GB. The version from 4 / 64GB should cost on 1.599yuan (about 217 €) while the one from 6 / 128GB should be quoted on 1.799yuan, about 243 €.
