Google is introducing a revolutionary innovation in the world of online research with the launch of a new laboratory experiment called “Notes”. This feature allows users to write personal notes on specific search results and on Google Discover, also offering the possibility of reading other people's notes on those same results.

Google's intent, as explained by Brad Kelle, Senior Director of Engineering, is to deliver useful suggestions on articles or topics coming from both experts and ordinary people. This not only helps you focus on the most relevant information, but can also show you what has worked for other users in similar situations.

How it works
How Google Notes works is simple: once the experiment is activated SearchLabs (not available in Italy for now), users can view, create and share notes on content in Google search results and on Google Discover. Below the search result snippets, you can find two icons: one for adding a note and the other showing the number of notes present, allowing you to view some of these on a separate page.
Notes may include text, images and stickers, and users can choose from different visual styles. Google ensures that these notes are useful and relevant thanks to protezioni algorithmic e Revisioni human, and allows users to report potentially problematic notes. Each note is ranked based on its relevance to the search query (phrase) and the content of the web page.
Importantly, notes in Google Notes they do not influence the ranking of the website in normal search, but are indexable by Google only for classification purposes within the Notes functionality.
When will it be available
Notes is available today as a Search Labs feature in English in States United and in Hindi and English in India, both on the Google app and in mobile search results. No news about the global debut, therefore in Europe.
