The situation of the call recording on smartphones it is quite thorny. Although many telephony brands are developing their own application (or function) that allows you to record calls, it is not possible for them to integrate it on proprietary devices. This because? Because the law for the privacy it does not allow everyone to do this. Of course, at the moment only Google Phone (the default app also downloadable from Play Store) is able to do so since the directives of the Mountain View giant has the "green light". But the rest of the companies have their hands tied. Waiting for that Xiaomi, like many others, has also the green light, let's see the news related to the proprietary Google application.

According to what was reported on Twitter by the editor in chief of XDA Mishaal Rahman, Google Phone would have in store to make major changes to the functionality of the application. Among these are:
- caller ID announcement function;
- option to automatically delete old records after 30 days
- shortcut on the home page of the application that leads directly to the recordings.
In the first image on the left we see the option that allows you to "read the caller's name or number aloud". In the second image instead (the one in the center) we see how it will be possible "automatically delete old recordings and transcripts". In addition to this, however, there are also other interesting news such as the spam filter (which we also talked about extensively on Xiaomitoday.it) or the bogus call blocking. Finally, in the third photograph we see the shortcut at the bottom right, which allows you to go to the box containing the saved recordings. This will allow you to access the old call records, again within 30 days.
We don't know when these features will arrive, but no doubt they are really interesting.
