Google is ready to enter the foldable smartphone market with its new product, the Google pixel fold. With the launch planned for June 2023, there are high hopes for this device, which should compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The leaked specifications so far they look promising, with a robust design and a high quality screen.

Recently OnLeaks unveiled the full specifications of the Google Pixel Fold, including one external screen of about 5,79 inches it's one foldable internal screen of 7,69 inches. Furthermore, the specifications include the dimensions of approximately 158,7 x 139,7 x 5,7 mm (8,3 mm with the rear camera bump). Rumors about the device describe a robust design and one high quality screen, with a camera system positioned on the back of the screen.
The Pixel Fold will be equipped with an octa-core ARM processor Google Tensor G2, which includes two 2,35 GHz Silver cores, two 2,85 GHz Performance Silver cores, and four 1,8 GHz Performance Enhancement cores, as well as the Mali-G710 CPU. The unit will be available in two colors: silver and black, and will have a 3-module camera with LED flash on the back of the screen.
The Pixel Fold will come with a SIM tray at the bottom edge of the first screen and a USB-C charging port on the bottom edge of the second (folding) screen. There is no 3,5mm jack port, but there are two built-in speakers and microphones.
The selling price of the device is of $ 1.700, which includes various storage options, pre-installed Android 14, and 12GB of RAM. Many Android users expect the Pixel Fold to be compatible with one Stylus, which could be useful for drawing and taking notes on the fold-out screen. However, some users prefer smartphones with a screen and that's it UI and app optimization issues.
