Over the years, making the purchase of an electronic device (and above all a smartphone) is proving to be an increasingly difficult operation, not so much as regards the economic aspect, but rather the wide choice available. Speaking precisely of smartphones, today a new device has made its appearance, increasing even more the already wide range of choice and the competition between brands. The smartphone in question ranks among the low-end devices and is the Honor 5A and, given its range of belonging, we could not compare it with its direct competitor, namely the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro.
The Honor 5A will be offered in two variants (presumably based on the reference market) which will differ essentially for the processor used and for the manufacturer of the photographic sensors (Sony / OmniVision or Sony / Hynix). Furthermore, it must be considered that the Xiaomi Remdi 3 Pro is made with an almost entirely metal body (except two plastic bands for the antennas), while the Honor 5A is made entirely of plastic (polycarbonate). Finally, the Honor 5A will be available (in China) only from 17 June (pre-orders are currently open), unlike the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro which has been available for a long time.
Ultimately, there are few (but significant) differences that separate the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro from the Honor 5A, so if you want a compact device with premium materials, fingerprint sensor and excellent performance, as well as software support without equal, with a very good autonomy but with a low weight, consider the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro, while if you are not so interested in the materials, the fingerprint sensor, the weight and the dimensions not exactly contained but with the latest version of Android currently available and affordable, opt for the Honor 5A.
