The new HONOR Magic V2 is a premium foldable Android phone that stands out as the thinnest in the world, with a thickness of only 4,7 mm when open and 9,9 mm when closed, slightly thicker than a traditional phone. This thinness was made possible thanks to a titanium hinge completely revised compared to previous models, which allowed to reduce the overall dimensions of the device, improve the resistance of the folding mechanism and maintain weighing just 231 grams, similar to that of large phones.
The phone offers two LTPO OLED display: an external 6,43-inch one with a 20:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution with a maximum brightness of 2500 nits, and an incredibly large 7,92-inch interior. What is particularly interesting is the refresh rate of the backlight, which can reach 3840 Hz to ensure comfortable viewing in any lighting condition.
The photographic system is composed of a total of five cameras, of which two 16 megapixel front ones, one for each display, and three main ones that protrude slightly from the rear body. These cameras include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 20-megapixel optically stabilized telephoto sensor, offering 2,5x optical zoom and up to 40x digital zoom.
As for the internal specifications, the HONOR Magic V2 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm, supported by 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Connectivity is complete with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and NFC, among other features. There battery from 5000 mAh with silicon-carbon technology offers the possibility of fast charging at 66 W.
Lastly, the phone runs on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13, which is a full UI with features optimized for foldable phones. A future update to MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 is expected, which was recently announced.
