Honor, the Chinese smartphone brand that split from Huawei a couple of years ago, announced the launch of two new models: the Honor Magic V2 and theHonor X50. The first will be available from July 12, while the second will be presented on July 5th.
Honor X50: the new smartphone with Snapdragon 6 Gen1 has a launch date
The Honor X50 will be a mid-range that focuses on high-level specifications and photography. One such specification is the 6,7-inch curved screen with 1.5K resolution (2652 x 1200 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate, which offers a smooth and clear viewing experience, as well as protecting your eyes from harmful blue light.
We will then find the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 processor, the first chip of Qualcomm's sixth generation, built with 4-nanometer technology and composed of eight cores (four A78 at 2,2 GHz and four A55 at 1,8 GHz), which ensures high performance and low power consumption. The processor also supports 5G connectivity and artificial intelligence. Then there will be a 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB internal memory, expandable via microSD card.
For photos, we will have one 100 megapixel rear camera, accompanied by a 16 megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor, 12 megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 10x hybrid zoom, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. There front camera is 32 megapixel instead and is located in a hole in the screen.
The device will be powered by a battery from 5800 mAh with support to quick charge from 66W, which allows you to recharge your phone to 100% in less than an hour.
The Honor X50 will be available in four colors: black, white, blue and green. The phone's design is reminiscent of the Huawei Mate series, with a glass and metal body and a circular bezel for the rear cameras.
The price of the Honor X50 has not yet been revealed, but according to some rumors it could be around 1500 yuan (about 195 euro), which would make it very competitive compared to other similar smartphones. Honor thus hopes to conquer an important slice of the Chinese and international market, taking advantage of its collaboration with Qualcomm.
