The Chinese company - Huami Technology - or the one that produces Amazfit wearable and much more has just announced that the annual corporate meeting has been canceled due to the medical emergency taking place in China. Huami also said he wanted to donate 10 million Yuan (1,3 million euros) to purchase medical supplies to fight the Coronavirus.

Huang Wang, the CEO of Huami Technology, said that before the large-scale outbreak of the epidemic, all employees, their relatives and friends residing in the Wuhan area, were contacted and stopped from coming to the meeting. So Huami attempted to stop the virus from spreading in a way.
After seeing that the situation worsened, the brand decided to cancel the meeting totally. All the money that would have been spent on the event will be donated to help stop the epidemic; this figure is around one million Yuan. But it does not end here, because the employees have collected 750 thousand Yuan, to which are added the donations of the board of directors, for a total of 10 million Yuan. Huami also points out that it is not about "money given to charity", but about directly purchasing the necessary drugs and equipment.
Finally, Huami Technology is mobilizing to find these drugs and all the necessary medical equipment also globally.

We have decided to do something for WuHan. Previously, we have worked hard to protect our employees and families.
