At the beginning of last year, Xiaomi had officially "declared war" on GoPro by releasing its first action camera made in collaboration with Yi Technology. This year this desire has become even more concrete by officially landing on American soil as well, proposing the second generation of their significantly improved action camera and proposed at a slightly higher price than the basic version of the GoPro (which however does not offer recording in 4K). | Xiaomi Yi Camera 4K has arrived in the US |.
However, this was not enough for Xiaomi / Yi who are close to launching a new version of their even more powerful action camera. In fact, according to what was reported by a teaser image released a few hours ago, the new Xiaomi / Yi action camera will be presented on September 19 and will be made in collaboration with former Fujitsu experts and will use an M43 frame and a Panasonic CMOS sensor that will allow you to replace the lenses of the camera itself.
Recalling briefly the technical specifications of the previous generation, we find:
- Display from 2,19 "inch (330 ppi) protected by a glass Gorilla Glass and viewing angles of 160 °;
- 12 MP 377 X-Ray Photographic Sensor IMX2.8 with f / 157 focal aperture, seven high definition lenses capable of capturing content up to XNUMX ° (wide angle) and Electronic Image Stabilizer (EIS);
- Ambarella Processor A9SE95;
- 4K video recording @ 30fps, 1080p up to 120fps, 720p up to 240fps, time lapse (0,5 / 1/2/5/10/30/60 seconds);

- Professional ATL battery from 1400 mAh that guarantee up to 2 hours of video shooting in 4K @ 30 fps.
Unfortunately, the source has nothing more to do with the new generation of quest camera but, knowing the company, we can expect higher features than the previous versions, as always, at a competitive price.
