Next month, smartphone fans iQOO will be able to attend the launch of the new series iQOO Neo9, which promises to challenge the performance of competitors. The brand has already confirmed that the series will consist of two models: iQOO Neo9 and iQOO Neo9 Pro, both equipped with high-level features.
The iQOO Neo9 series is officially previewed, while the Pro model is caught on 3C
The standard model, iQOO Neo9, will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC, the successor to the popular Snapdragon 8+ that equipped the previous iQOO Neo8. This chip offers a 20% improvement in CPU performance and 30% improvement in GPU performance, as well as supporting 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 6E. The device will also have UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 memory, and a proprietary V1+ chip to optimize system operation.
The Pro model, iQOO Neo9 Pro, instead, will opt for the SoC Dimension 9300, the new MediaTek flagship which presents itself as a direct rival to the Snapdragon 8 Gen2. This processor integrates an octa-core CPU with a maximum frequency of 3 GHz, a Mali-G79 GPU with nine cores, and a 5G modem with support for sub-6GHz and mmWave bands. The device will also have UFS 4.0 and LPDDR5X memory, and the V1+ chip.
Both models will have one OLED screen from 6.78 inches with a resolution of 1.5K and a high refresh rate, probably 144Hz like its predecessor. There battery will be 5000mAh (typical value) and will support the quick charge to 120W, which will allow you to recharge the device in just a few minutes. The rear camera will consist of a Sony IMX920 50-megapixel main sensor, the same one used by the Vivo X100, and a secondary 2 megapixel depth of field sensor. The Pro model will also have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor.
The design of the iQOO Neo9 series will be different from that of the iQOO Neo8 series, which had a more sober and minimalist appearance. The official poster shows that the Pro model will have a two-tone back panel, with a white stripe on a red base, and a dual-ring camera module. The standard model may have a different color, but maintain the same style.
The iQOO Neo9 series was also spotted on the 3C certification site, which confirmed support for charging at 120W and model number V2339A for the Pro model. There is no information yet on the price and precise launch date, but the teaser confirms that the series will be presented in December in China
