The founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, has just shared a letter of good wishes and good intentions for the year 2020. Obviously, since we are talking about it here on XiaomiToday, it is a letter dedicated to our favorite brand and therefore you will want you too know the content.
Lei Jun publishes the intentions for 2020, 6,4 billion Euros in 5G and AIoT in the next 5 years
Lei Jun began by recalling that 2020 will be the year of 5G. Xiaomi will focus a lot on the new technology and on the "smartphone + AIoT" ecosystem. As also in the "5G + AIoT" sector in which Xiaomi will invest over 50 billion Yuan (over 6,4 billion euros) in the five years to follow.
Also specifying that the transaction between 4G and 5G is slightly causing difficulties for the mobile industry. Having said that, the brand has already adopted a very stable strategy that focuses above all on quality, innovation and bringing what promised to the market. In 2019, the brand also saw the birth of the Redmi rib, totally independent of Xiaomi as regards the development and production of smartphones and other gadgets.
The founder of Xiaomi then added that there are two excellent news to start this 2020. The first regards a celebration held by the Xiaomi TV team after the success achieved in China (in first place) and in the rest of the world (in the top 5). The brand also became the first Chinese TV brand to sell over 10 million units in a year. The second news concerns instead the entry of Lei Jun to the vice-presidency of the Xiaomi group, becoming the person responsible for planning the smartphone category.
Lei Jun then recalled that the past was the year the brand entered the Fortune Global 500, or the list with the 500 largest companies in the world. Actually becoming the youngest company among the 500.
The businessman concluded by thanking all Xiaomi employees, who with their hard work managed to keep the company moving forward even in a year full of challenges. Promising that 2020 will be an even more positive year that will also see the celebration of the brand's 10 years.
Lei Jun, however, also asked the employees to respect 5 main criteria: to be "friends" of the users, to adhere to the "excellent quality / price" strategy, to adhere to scientific and technological innovation, to adhere to the use of materials of resistant and quality and finally having an entrepreneurial mentality with a spirit of challenge.
