In his speech at the graduation ceremony, Lei Jun retraced his entrepreneurial journey: he became CEO of Jinshan at 28; he founded Joyo.com at the age of 31 and started an e-commerce business; she founded Xiaomi at the age of 40 and made a mobile phone; .
Lei Jun unequivocally said that from software to e-commerce, then mobile phones and then cars, the unprecedented range is unprecedentedly difficult. Every time I look back, I don't know where the courage comes from. “Students, it is really the courage given by Wuhan University. The first class I attended at Wuhan University taught me the most important truth in life.” Lei Jun said.
Lei Jun recalled: “I still remember that 36 years ago, the first night of recording as a freshman, I went to the new fourth floor to study by myself. The classroom next door was filled with laughter and people, so I went to see the excitement. At that time, the Department of Chemistry was conducting orientation activities and an old professor who had just returned from abroad imparted experience”.
The old professor said, “Some students have a heavy mental burden after entering the Chemistry Department, and they fear that it will be difficult to find a job in the future. In fact, in college, the most important thing is not to acquire knowledge, but to master the methods of learning As long as you can learn, whatever you do, you can.
It was this sentence that enlightened Lei Jun and helped him overcome the two lines of Ren and Du. He sighed, "It turns out that learning ability is more important than knowledge."
Lei Jun said that this was her first and most important lecture at Wuhan University. Due to these abilities, she has an inexplicable confidence to tackle any unknown field in her future career.

“Dear Secretary Huang Taiyan, President Zhang Pingwen, respected alma mater teachers, dear students, hello, everyone!
It is a great honor for me to be invited to speak at my alma mater's graduation ceremony. At this moment, all the scenes from studying at Wuhan University more than 30 years ago came to mind.
The day freshman enrolled, I walked Cherry Blossom Avenue for the first time. The sun was shining brilliantly and the scenery was picturesque.
In the four years of Wuhan University, the most memorable thing is that when I was a freshman, I read a book called "Silicon Valley Fire" in the library. This book helped me build a lifelong dream.
Luojia Mountain will remain in my memory forever.
Classmates, as elders, first of all I would like to extend my sincere and warmest congratulations to all of you on successfully completing your studies and embarking on a new journey in life!
