The wait is over. We have the second-generation smartphone that has been talking more about it in recent years. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is the perfect incarnation of what fans wanted. Let's see together what is done and what Lei Jun has reserved for us this morning.

I would start by asking a simple question.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is still a concept phone? 

The answer I think will be very clear once we have shown all the novelties of this second generation device that goes to perfect those little flaws that the first model had brought with it.

Surely it is the Fil rouge which will hold together the Mi MIX series for the rest of his days. THE'aesthetics of this device is absolutely sensational. And with the Mi MIX 2 reaches extreme levels, both in comparison with the first model and the rest of the smartphones borderless.

If Mi MIX was well accustomed to his 91% display ratio, Mi MIX 2 amazes for the reduction of the frames pushed to the maximum: the bottom frame in fact reduced by 12% compared to the first generation and the  18:9 makes the device absolutely immersive. Incredibly pleasing to the touch, facilitated by the size reduction.

In fact, the display switches from 6,4 inches a 5,99 inches ensuring excellent ergonomics, without neglecting image quality and user experience.

The subtle aluminum frame then carries out Xiaomi's masterpiece: practically imperceptible, makes the Mi MIX 2 a real borderless.

But how do you know Mi MIX is, for a year now, a research focus and therefore the second model could not be any less. You will notice that care in detail is brought to the utmost power by Xiaomi: just think of the treatment which undergoes the lens of front camera, as always on the bottom right, to seem absolutely invisible on the black panel.

Complete the aesthetic features bending of ceramic glass on all and 4 sides, which makes the device a pure concentrate of beauty ... ah but they have presented an even more refined version !?

Well yes, because Xiaomi has also produced a 'special edition from the body totally unibody in ceramic, whose side frames disappear to leave the place to one body made without assembly! Incredible ... in fact WOW!

But let's talk it calmly later, when we show you the prices of both variants.

And here is the beautiful one! Yes because if the Mi MIX had left fans with the mouth open at launch, but with a bit bitter in the mouth for a series of no optimizations due to innovative and unique features, with Mi MIX 2 Xiaomi tries to give a decent spatula to the competitors, arranging those that were the critics of the first model and realizing, according to the designer Philippe Starck, the "smartphone virtually perfect".

One of the critical features of the old model was the "audio in "capsule". Give me the imprecision but I do not know how to define it, even though there was no headset on Mi MIX. Good with Mi MIX 2 one is reinstated mini-headset capsule which, however, keeps the piezoelectric technology of the first model.

The Xiaomi engineers, praised by Starck himself during the conference, wanted to solve the longstanding problem of audio on the Chinese company's borderless smartphone. One high power speaker (50mW), flanked by a "guide tube"Will amplify the sound and volume of your calls so that you can listen to the caller without any problem related to the resonance due to the display. But ... the display will still be from sounding board when you want to activate the audio speaker and use the Mi MIX 2 to listen to music or to talk in hands-free: this is the solution found by Xiaomi who has widely disappointed those who had predicted that Mi MIX's problems would have spilled on Mi MIX 2 without any solution.

If, however, the front panel and audio compartment reserve great news, the back panel remains practically unchanged with the presence of fingerprint sensor positioned immediately below the rear camera, denying the rumors that they wanted some sort of integration of the fingerprint sensor in the display panel. Poco badly, the small size of the device will make it even easier to unlock via the sensor as the finger will be placed almost inevitably in that position. A point in favor of ergonomics!

Before switching to the photographic sector and the prices of the two versions, we conclude shortly the presentation of the hardware features talking about processor and memories.

Lo Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 comes on the market with the best mobile processor currently on the market, the Snapdragon 835 of Qualcomm, which, with its 10 nm technology guarantees a increased performance and at the same time one significant reduction in consumption. The battery integrated by 3400 mAh will do the rest, despite the fact that the first model had well 1 Ah more.

Complete hardware hardware RAM RAM LDDR4X from 6 GB, which become 8 GB in the special version, and cuts internal storage from 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of typology UFS 2.1.

Ops. Our hand has escaped ... Well yes, I do Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will have default on all versions compatibility with 20 band! But that's not all!

In fact Mi MIX 2, as Lei Jun pointed out, will support well 43 bands by becoming the most compatible smartphone in the world with telephone networks!

A note before showing you some photographic samples: the front camera of Mi MIX was perhaps the weak point of Xiaomi's concept phone, which had focused more on innovations than on substance. Now, we do not have to expect an upturn with regard to the front camera but with Mi MIX 2 Xiaomi is trying to solve those inaccuracies that have affected the use of the first model.

The front camera is then from 5 Megapixel but it gets better support for the 'autofocus and above all, will be able to recognize the face of the owner so as to provide the user with a second unlocking method (Face Recognition).

Due to the due detail on the front camera, which we hope to give you some samples in the future, we go to what it wants to be the answer to the big competitors. Xiaomi inserts the Sony IMX386 sensor on board Mi MIX 2, equipped with a rear camera from 12 Megapixel (f / 2.0) with a pixel size of 1.25 μm. The company thus guarantees extreme sensitivity to light for each pixel and making the user's photographic experience much more comfortable with the use of optical stabilizer at 4 axes.

After giving you some examples (sorry for the quality but we can not currently provide the original files) of what is capable of capturing the rear camera of Mi MIX 2, we specify that the lens will be finished with a 18k gold frame and, as some of you will already be aware, will be identical to the Xiaomi Mi 6 main camera.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will be launched, as already anticipated, in two variants which differ essentially for the realization of the body and for RAM memories ... and of course for the prices!

La Special Version, made of ceramic body without assemblies, and without lateral frames, will be well equipped 8 GB of RAM e 256 GB of internal storage that can not be expanded and will be slightly smaller than the standard variant. In fact, the special version will have the dimensions of 150.5 x 74.6 x 7.7 mm for 187 grams of weight, while standard versions of 151.8 x 75.5 x 7.7 mm for 185 grams of weight.

Obviously differences also in prices that will vary from a minimum of 420 Euros for the 6 GB / 64 Gb configuration to a maximum of 510 Euros for configuration 6 GB / 256 GB. The price is clearly higher for the special version 8 GB / 256 GB that will touch the 600 euro.

But let's briefly summarize what we have seen today.
