Micron has already tested LPDDR5 samples that they support data rates up to 7.5 Gbps and samples that support data rates up to 8.533 Gbps. LPDDR5X's peak speed of 8.533 Gbps delivers performance up to 33% faster than LPDDR5 memory of the previous generation. Micron is partnering with the world's leading smartphone manufacturers and chipset suppliers to implement LPDDR5X support. MediaTek will probably be there first company in the world to launch a 5G smartphone with such RAM.
