Meizu 17 could have a mirrored silver version but ...

The last jewel of the Meizu house, that is Meizu 17, is enjoying stratospheric success in the motherland. Some of the leading Chinese bloggers in fact, like Xiaobai o Laobao, they use this device as their main smartphone. And there is no question why: the performance is top thanks to the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and the design is unprecedented given the choice of a panel without curved edges. We know the colors of this device and we know that the "teal" is the favorite for now ... but did you know that a mirrored silver version? For those who don't know him, too Xiaomi Mi 6 could count on a similar version back in 2017.

From Weibo the images of an unreleased Meizu 17: a mirrored silver makes it one of the most beautiful smartphones we have ever seen

To divulge the photographs of a Meizu 17 with this special mirror coloring he is the head of the brand's marketing sector. In fact, on the Weibo channel he posted these two photographs that immortalize his last (and unique for 20220) mirrored flagship. But for what occasion was this "prototype" created?

Initially the project of the marketing manager of the Chinese giant wanted to create a rear panel on which to engrave sentences, on the occasion of Valentine's day (in china there are several parties of lovers). Among other things, he had planned a lot of content to be engraved on the back of the device. Many years ago, if you remember, the old folks iPod they could be engraved with any writing: inspiration came from there.

But why has nothing more been done? The yield is too low. Let's explain: users hate smartphones that hold back too much fingerprints and in fact this, more than those in glass and ceramic, holds back too many. Also the engineers are still working today to try to produce a curved shell (see the rear curves of the Meizu 17) that does not break, completely in mirrored glass. Mass production is currently impossible.

What do you think? Do you like this effect?
