After the release of the Meizu M3 Max last month, there have not been many rumors regarding the Chinese company's new products. However, one user, with a post on weibo, showed a picture of a new Meizu device. From what we see it seems to come from the list of mobile phones on the Chinese certification body TENAA website, although this smartphone does not yet appear on the official list. This product looks like one of the Blue Charm series that the company dedicates to young people. We are not sure what name this mobile model has, but it is rumored that this new smartphone could be the Meizu M4
Meizu has a reputation for updating its product range in a short time, within a few months. Just think of the Meizu M3 announced in April while the Meizu M3s was already presented in June. So, it doesn't seem surprising if we see a newcomer to Meizu in the coming months
The person who revealed this image adds that the backcover of the Meizu M4 is made of metal with some parts in plastic and there does not appear to be a fingerprint reader. Now, we can clearly see a "home" button on the bottom of the device, so we don't have to wait to know if Meizu will remove such an important element from its next model. Furthermore, the post reveals the sale price which should be around 899 Yuan (134 $), which is higher than the current M3S which can also be found for less than 110 $.
Forecasts on the Meizu M4
As we said, this cell phone does not exist in the official TENAA list, and for this reason we cannot give specifics but we can make some predictions. As for the transition from the Meizu M3 to the M3s, we expect an improvement in the battery, perhaps a 4000mAh one. On the camera we do not believe there will be any news, it will probably always be a 13MP camera like its predecessor. The screen will be 5,5 inches and we could have a 10GHz MediaTek Helio P6755 MT1.8 processor with 3GB of RAM. These are however assumptions the sure thing is that it will mount the firmware Flyme 5 (Android 6.0 Marshmallow) we talked about here in previous articles.
