Design and Ergonomics
Accustomed to the rear glass in the Xiaomi Mi Note, I immediately placed my eyes on the body made entirely of metal, carefully observing every single detail. In the hands a great impression! One of the aspects that are immediately noticed in this device is its extreme lightness. Although its dimensions are quite generous, we are still talking about a 5.5-inch phablet, its weight, including non-removable battery, is only 149 grams. Needless to say, this translates into a pleasant user experience, made even more optimal by the physical home button which, thanks to the integrated fingerprint reader, allows us to immediately unlock our device.
Hardware and Performance
Il Meizu MX5 was able to surprise me particularly, the general performance of the device was excellent. The Mediatek Helio X10 Turbo he is able to turn the FlymeOS smoothly, even after long sessions of use. After having carried out several gaming sessions, we notice a small flaw that has never been in the spotlight like this year, namely a slight overheating. This is certainly due to the metal materials with which the rear body is made which, being good thermal conductors, tend to heat up more than plastic materials.For the rest, nothing to say about the hardware sector, the Meizu MX5 it is certainly promoted in this respect. Not bad as a score!
Connectivity
As far as connectivity is concerned, in the terminal there is the WiFi 802.11 ac / b / g / n Dual Band, the support dual SIM with two nano slots SIM 4G LTE, but with the absence of the band 20 to 800MHz, mainly used by Wind and TIM. Cautious note for many users is the absence of the chip NFC. In my opinion almost indispensable to replace the now "old" form Bluetooth.
Display and Audio
What about the display? Really great! If you are looking for a phablet with a nice one you have found the device suitable for you. As previously mentioned in the features of the device, the display is a drive AMOLED da 5.5 inches with resolution Full HD. Blacks are deep while a minimum of disappointment for whites who are not perfect and always tend towards the yellowish. Nothing to say about the brightness which turns out to be excellent even in direct sunlight, the excursion between minimum and maximum brightness is quite high, in my opinion better than many devices Xiaomi.
Let's move on to examine the audio performances of this terminal. Seeing and reviewing some videos on the youtube platform, it shows a strong, clean and stable audio, like many other top of the range. A great idea from Meizu was to place the speaker under the right grille, so as not to lose audio quality when the MX5 is placed on a surface. Positive note is the audio intensity: by turning the volume up to the maximum, you will notice a very strong but at the same time clean sound.
Camera
The camera? One of the best aspects of this device! In Meizu MX5 we find the same sensor present in the 'MX4, or from 20,7 megapixel, So let's talk about f2.2 opening with 4K support with the absence of 'OIS (optical stabilization) of the image. Very positive note is the presence of 'autofocus laser which allows you to focus on objects more quickly, even in low light conditions. Now let's move on to a negative aspect, the software present inside the device to take the photos. The latter is very inconvenient for users, as to move between the various modes there is a need to perform Swype lateral ones that take quite some time. But you can overlook this detail. Now you will see a sequence of images taken directly from the device in question.

Battery
In Meizu MX5 there is a battery of 3150 mAh which manages to guarantee good autonomy. With the "balanced" mode the results are not exceptional but rather discrete. With the aforementioned method poco ago we put the device under stress by carrying out various sessions of gaming, video playback and so on, noting that it becomes difficult to get to the middle of the day. While with the "energy saving" mode the device after several calls, Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram and some photos taken, it is possible to arrive in the evening with a minimum percentage. Minimal disappointment ...
* This test was done with firmware I in the 4.5.2 version, but we're sure that with future updates the battery life will definitely improve.
Conclusions
Bhe ... what about it !? An exceptional device in everyday use! We looked at all the details of this device, finding some interesting things but at the same time some defect. Recommended for purchase! A gem in your hands ...
