Xiaomi Mi Band 7, or rather Smart Band 7, will be the name of the company's next smart bracelet. There were few doubts to tell the truth, but knowing it officially is another thing. The arrival of the Mi Band 6 NFC has brought some air of change within the panorama of smartbands, especially those of Xiaomi. It had been a long time that users were asking for the NFC chip for contactless payments and finally it has arrived. But what awaits us with the smartband of seventh generation? Inside the source code, the first information on Xiaomi Mi Band 7 was revealed: here are the key features that we will find on the smartband
The well-known developer Magic Unicorn found the first information on Xiaomi Mi Band 7 within the Zepp app code. As we know, this in a certain sense enhances and replaces what Mi Fit has been doing for a few years already. First of all, the code name of Mi Band 7 is L66, while the model names of the device are M2129B1 e M2130B1. The CMIIT IDs, on the other hand, are 2022DP1794 e 2022DP1805. Names and numbers that we attach only for completeness of information. But now let's start talking about the functionality and features of the bracelet.

- screen: apparently the Mi Band 7 will have a larger display of the previous model. We are faced with a display from 192 x 490 pixel while the current sixth generation smartband has a 152 x 486 pixel display. We expect the curved lower part of the (illuminated) display to no longer show that bit of black we now see: in short, a full display
- watchfaces: apparently the Mi Band 7 will count onAlways on Display (AoD) for some watchfaces. Previous models can not count on this feature unless you change the firmware itself of the smartband at the expense of the battery
- GPS: after hoping for a Mi Band 6 Pro with GPS that never came, we can expect the Mi Band 7 take GPS with you. The data disclosed by the developer which confirms the presence of the chip working on various satellites bodes well
- Password: present only on the first and last versions of the smartband, the password is used to protect the data of the connected credit card. With this feature present, we expect that Mi Band 7 supports NFC for contactless payments
- energy saving: the more we go forward with the generations, the more the smartband decreases its autonomy. On the Mi Band 7 there will be one energy saving function which will allow you to increase it if needed. We expect that with normal use, without energy saving, the autonomy of the seventh Xiaomi smartband will reach 10 days (against the 15 declared of the sixth)
That said: we don't know when Xiaomi's smartband 7 will debut in Europe but it will undoubtedly happen this year. Or at the very least, we expect the debut in China take place this year, while perhaps the one in Europe and Italy will postpone at the beginning of 2023.
