Xiaomi patents a new design for the next Mi Band, the screen is bigger than ever
The latest Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is the first Mi Band with a screen size of 1,56 inches, the largest ever launched by the brand. Zeng Xuezhong, vice president of Xiaomi Group, called it the "most premium model" in the panorama of smart bands. It therefore appears that Xiaomi intends to continue increasing the screen size aboard its fitness bands.
In this regard, today Xiaomi has obtained the authorization of its patent for the creation of a new smart band. The patent explanation tells us that the product is used to display the time and monitor sports conditions, health conditions, etc. Although in reality we are mainly interested in the design shown in the patent.
As we can see from the photo, the screen of the future Mi Band is wider than all previous fitness bands, almost as big as what we typically find on a smartwatch. We also note that the body is also very thin and that the design of the strap is similar to that of the current Xiaomi Mi Band 6.
As for the design of the screen, this looks a bit like what we find aboard the Band 6 from Huawei. The Huawei Band 6 uses a 1,64-inch diagonal full color screen, with the standard version being sold in Italy at a price of 59 euros, while the version with NFC that is not available in our country is sold in China at price of 349 yuan, around 48 euros at the exchange rate.
