Mi Box S receives another update of Android 9 Pie beta: will all the bugs have been resolved?
As reported by the staff of Piunikaweb following the reports on Reddit, Xiaomi Mi Box S is receiving an update in these hours. The update in question weighs 665 MB and post some improvements as well as news.
It is the second beta that the Android TV box has received since November, with identification number R2596. According to Xiaomi, this new update addresses the following critical problems:
- the system is not stable after returning from standby;
- supports multiple WiFi channels in a special area.
This update is added to the other always received this month (R2582) which solved other problems. In particular:
- chromecast doesn't work;
- block HULU playback;
- H264 decoding error;
- BT audio is not synchronized with video;
- HDMI compatibility;
- pop sound when STB in standby mode;
- the panel does not work when an external keyboard is connected.
This update also weighed heavily 665 MB. Regardless of the number of updates that Mi Box S has been receiving since November, there is no shadow of the building that everyone is waiting for.
