A novelty made in this device is the high phase-shift heat dissipation (this means that it goes from a liquid to a solid state or vice versa), a type of cooling also used in aerospace. This technology is able to decrease the temperature up to 3 degrees, in "critical" moments such as during pushed gaming or recharging. Here is the post of co-founder Lin Bin:
This device is already online and in the Mi Store, the 8 GB version of RAM + 128 GB ROM is available for about 460 € and the 6 GB version of RAM + 128 GB of ROM has a cost of about 410 € .
Differences with the younger brother Mi8
Are there really any differences between the two brothers? Actually we see that there are very few:
- dimensions: 154,9 x 74,8 x 7,6 mm for both;
- weight: 177 Mi 8 Pro vs 175 Mi8;
- Android version: 8.1 for both;
- GPU: Adreno 630 for both;
- ROM: fixed to 128GB for Mi8 Pro vs expandable to 128 and 256GB for Mi8;
- memory type: UFS 2.1 for both;
- fingerprint reader: here is the difference that "it makes the difference", The Mi8 Pro has it integrated in the display vs Mi8 that does not have it;
- audio jack: unfortunately absent in both but obvious with the adapter for the type-c;
- display: FHD + to 1080 x 2248 pixels for both;
- photographic industry: both 20 + 12 megapixel;
- battery: 3000mAh Mi8 Pro vs 3400mAh Mi8 (and here comes the donkey: why?).
These are the "differences" between the two models. What do you think about it? Is it really worth spending more on a phone almost the same as the previous model? Tell us in the comments.
