Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S together with Redmi Note 5 are the first two smartphones of the Chinese company to be equipped with Android operating system Oreo natively, bringing a series of features that distinguish them compared to the other devices of the Xiaomi stable. We are not just talking about hardware features, but about software ones, in fact MIUI 9.5 now offers the option to restore data from a previous Android device. The option is offered during the initial configuration of the smartphone and allows precisely to restore applications and data on another phone connected to your Google account.
Certainly this function it's not new in the Android panorama, as it was introduced with the Android version 5.0 Lollipop, but until now it had never been made available in the MIUI interface, which base offered a restore only through the Mi Cloud app, with similar functionality but definitely limited to Xiaomi devices only and that could therefore be a problem for the user who for the first time approached a smartphone of the Chinese OEM.
Xiaomi is making MIUI increasingly attractive for a global audience
This situation has been created in that Google and related services in China are completely absent, for which it was necessary to adopt the solution offered by Xiaomi. But with the increasing globalization of the brand in countries like India, Spain and in the future Italy, MIUI's Global ROM is receiving more and more features that do not restrict the use of the smartphone to Chinese territory. MIUI 9.5 further reinforces what has just been said and will do it more and more, given the upcoming debut of Xiaomi in the United States. In any case, Xiaomi is increasingly making its MIUI interface appealing to a global audience. Definitely a function already known but that will more urge global users to get closer to the quality of smartphones offered by Xiaomi.
