The Surge S1 is a 64bit octacore processor that runs at a maximum frequency of 2,2GHz. The GPU is the Mali-T860 which allows up to 40% improvement in energy efficiency over the last generation of GPU, the Mali-T760, when running very demanding apps from a graphical point of view. The new SoC has also been equipped with a high-performance 32-bit DSP for improving voice processing of calls and also with a dual microphone for noise reduction, so as to make your voice clearer and louder. The dual 14bit ISP increases image processing capabilities and its algorithm increases the camera's sensitivity to light by 150%, while the dual noise reduction algorithm manages to preserve details in low light conditions. Finally, having an updatable baseband means having a VoLTE (Voice over LTE) call definition and more secure against fraudulent stations.
After explaining architecture and values, CEO Xiaomi showed a short film when the team was able to illuminate the screen of a phone, and a few days later they managed to start the first call!
A public buzz accompanies the next slider on the smartphone that will have inside it the square centimeter of the Surge S1 processor: the Xiaomi Mi 5C!
Confirmed the features released last night: 5.15 ″ JDI display with ultra-thin frames of only 1,6mm: thanks to the proprietary processor Xiaomi has also managed to adjust the backlight optimization at the chipset level. The device is equipped with 3GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, 132g weight with a thin metal body; equipped with a camera with a sensor composed of large pixels, 1,25μm, and ultra-sensitive to light thanks to the Surge ISP algorithm, with an increase over the standard by 150%. The Mi 5C is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor and supports 2A fast charging. The new Xiaomi will be available from next March 3 at the price we told you about , promising.

Lei Jun also talked about the recent Xiaomi RedMi Note 4X and the opening of the Xiaomi official store, a whole store dedicated to Xiaomi products and not present in other shopping malls.
