Well, apparently these three fantastic products weren't enough to celebrate 10 years of the brand, so here comes the “One More Thing” moment at the end of the conference. In this case it was truly something no one expected, a customized version of the Lamborghini edition Ninebot GoKart Pro that will be priced at 9.999 yuan and will be available in limited quantities worldwide. So, possibly, even we Italians could buy it directly from Xiaomi.
The Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition was born (clearly) from a collaboration between Xiaomi and the Italian manufacturer of luxury cars. Nothing new for Chinese smartphone makers who have collaborated with several luxury car brands in recent years. Among these we remember Huawei with Porsche, the iQOO brand has just started a collaboration with BMW, while OPPO and OnePlus have previously collaborated with Lamborghini and McLaren. As for Xiaomi, this is the first real collaboration with a luxury car brand and luckily it didn't disappoint.
At the presentation, Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun said that the GoKart was developed in collaboration with professional drivers. It uses the same rear-wheel drive and engine layout as a super sports car. The body's front-to-rear counterweight ratio is 40:60. This allows you to accelerate faster and have an easier rear to maneuver.
The Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition can reach a maximum speed of 40km / h (track mode), and also supports three modes: 8km / h (safe mode), 18km / h (beginner mode) and 18km / h h (sport mode).
Recall that the original version of the Ninebot GoKart Pro has a price of 8896 yuan (1080 €), while the new Lamborghini customized version costs 9999 yuan (1220 €), so only 1000 yuan (120 €) more. Presales on all platforms will begin on August 11th.
