Nokia 2660 Flip returns to Italy: but what is the reason for this nostalgia operation?
The original phone was released in 2007, so the calculation is simple: 16 years later, here are the new versions Pop pink e Lush green of the cellphone. HDM Global, Nokia's parent company, has already launched both in the Italian market, after doubling its market share in the Flip segment in 2022.
An increasing number of users feel the need to take a break from the display of their smartphone. Need that the phone in question should fill. At least according to Lars Silberbauer, Chief Marketing Officer of HMD Global.
Here are his words: "The interest in Flip phones has skyrocketed and we believe this stems from the need to take a break from notifications, social media posts, and more. There is a desire for more simplicity, time to relate live, and the desire to think and be with yourself. I'm sure we all have examples where a good time in life was ruined by a distraction or a notification. Here because we've reimagined the Nokia 2660 Flip. We at HMD Global will give people these moments back".
In short, the intent is clear and the goal is to attract users from both Gen Z and Millennials.
How is Nokia 2660 Flip
In essence, the new Pop Pink and Lush Green versions have a very resistant and elegant clamshell design with a Y2K lo-fi rear camera. It lasts a lot in terms of autonomy (we are in the order of weeks), and obviously you can send text messages and make calls. There is also the Snake!
As for the cost, Nokia 2660 Flip Pop Pink can be purchased on the brand's website at 79,90 €. The Lush Green version will also be on sale soon.
