The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has always been a showcase for the most interesting innovations in the world of mobile telephony. This year, among the protagonists of the fair, there is also Nubia Flip 5G, the first foldable smartphone from the ZTE brand, already known for its ZTE Libero Flip launched in Japan.

Nubia Flip 5G looks like a flip phone, i.e. a device that folds vertically, recalling old clamshell phones. The design is elegant and compact, with two color variants available: black and gold.
The strong point of Nubia Flip 5G is certainly its main display, a 6,9-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2790 x 1188 pixels, which supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a dimming frequency of 2160 Hz. The display offers sharp and fluid images, ideal for enjoying multimedia content and gaming. At the top of the display, there is a hole that houses a front 16 megapixel camera, which supports features like aerial photography and facial recognition.
On the back of the phone, however, there is a circular secondary display, also AMOLED, but 1,43 inches with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. This display can be used to display useful information such as time, notifications, weather, steps, music control and selfie mode. In fact, the secondary display acts as a viewfinder for the rear camera, which is made up of a 50 megapixel main sensor and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera allows you to take high-quality photos, with bokeh effects and night mode.
Nubia Flip 5G is not only beautiful to look at, but also offers good performance, it is in fact equipped with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1, which guarantees high performance and 5G connectivity. There RAM memory is 6 GBwhile its storage space is 128 GB. The The battery has a capacity of 4310mAh and supports 33W fast charging, which allows you to recharge your phone in poco time.
The Flip 5G is based on Android 14, with an interface customized by ZTE, which offers several features and customizations. The phone is compatible with Google Play and the main Google services, such as Maps, Photos, Assistant and Gmail.
The Nubia Flip 5G will be available on the market towards the end of May, at a price of around 500 euros. This is a competitive price, when compared to that of other foldable smartphones on the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or the Motorola Razr 5G.
