A few days ago, the second generation of the Xiaomi Mi Band was featured, featuring the presence of an OLED display that was a real step forward compared to the previous generation, as well as many other improvements but without affecting fuel consumption and final price | Xiaomi Mi Band 2 official |. Moreover, this year Xiaomi also presented another wearable that allowed it to enter a new sector, namely that of smartwatches, even if it proved to be a very different device from what we had imagined | The first Xiaomi smartwatch is official |. However, as Huami's CEO reiterated some time ago, the company was (and is) really working on a Xiaomi-branded smartwatch and that it should be presented in the second half of 2016.
Now, according to well-known Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang, the first real smartwatch (excluding the Mi Bunny) Xiaomi would be close to launch. Furthermore, Pan continues, it should have an energy consumption equal to that of Garmin wearables and also reveals another very relevant information, namely the price. However, it is not a single value but two, or 999 Yuan (134,08 €) and 1599 Yuan (214,61 €), which presumably may want to suggest the presence of two variants.
Taking these statements into account by Pan, along with those of Huami's CEO (the company responsible for the production of wearable Xiaomi), we can really believe, regardless of the launch timing, that the Xiaomi smartwatch exists and that, by the end of the " year will be officially presented to the public.
