NY Fashion Week: Prada for women, TicWatch for men

In New York, the Spring / Summer 2020 Fashion Art Show recently took place in what is known as New York Fashion Week.

Obviously, as always on these occasions, dozens of internationally renowned designers were waiting for the event. One of these is Todd Hessert who stood out for the “Quantum X” (Quantum Mechanics) themed collection.

Now you ask, why are we talking about it here on MobvoiToday? Well quite simply because the designer has decided to equip his models with a set of TicPods Free Smart Headphones and TicWatch S2 / E2.

Todd Hessert's goal was in fact to combine fashion with technology to change people's conception of what “fashion” is. After the consensus received at the event, it would appear to have succeeded.

Hessert clearly has a very tech-friendly view of fashion, a choice that many tech enthusiasts like us support.

Returning to the smartwatch itself, as we said previously, the designer used two devices that we know very well, the TicWatch S2 and the TicWatch E2.

The TicWatch S2 is one of the latest wearables of the brand to arrive on the market. The smartwatch equips a modern processor produced by Snapdragon Wear with better performance and lower consumption, supported by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. The screen is obviously a very good 1,39-inch AMOLED with 400 × 400 resolution. Other features include WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.1 and a 415 battery.

But perhaps the most interesting data is the military certification that guarantees use in water up to 5ATM and at temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees centigrade.

Moving on to the TicWatch E2, this stands out more for its simpler and more elegant design. While on the hardware side we find the same Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and 415mAh battery.

We also have the same 1,39-inch OLED panel with 400x400 resolution, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, and much more. Finally, there is no lack of IP68 waterproofing and integrated GPS for tracking the routes traveled.

In conclusion, we can only say that smartwatches seem to have increasingly entered the world of fashion also thanks to designers such as Todd Hessert. Could it be a further boost for the growth of an industry still in its infancy? We obviously hope so!
