Its code name is SM8450, but more conveniently you can call it Snapdragon 898: we are talking about the new one processor which will terminate on the next OnePlus 10. In these hours all the details have emerged about the data sheet of the chipset in question, complete with the names of the components that compose it.
OnePlus 10 will mount the Snapdragon 898
The processor will be manufactured by Samsung, and will be made with a manufacturing process a 4nm EUV. Today Evan Blass has added many details about it, with a really full-bodied technical leak, which in fact reveals everything that will be integrated into the Snapdragon 898 package. Here are all its components:
- Kryo 780 CPU based on ARM Cortex V9 technology;
- GPU Adreno 730;
- Spectra 680 ISP;
- Network mmWave up to 1 GHz and Sub-6GHz from 400 MHz;
- Support for Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9380 / WCD9385 audio codec;
- Qualcomm Secure Enclave Processing Unit (SPU260);
- Support for Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 subsystem;
- Quad-channel LPDDR5 RAM support;
- Snapdragon X65 5G RF Modem;
- Video Processing Unit (VPU) Adreno 665;
- Adreno 1195 Display Processing Unit (DPU).
We will see it on all the top of the range that will be released in the coming months, including OnePlus 10, with a promise: to further optimize the relationship between performance and consumption. Obviously this will be a fundamental aspect to be able to use increasingly complex features.
