After launching exclusively in China, the OnePlus 12 is preparing to debut in the global version 23st January. The launch event, which will be held in India starting from 19pm local time (30pm Italian time), will also see the presentation of the One Plus 12R, the cheapest and most compact version of the top of the range.
OnePlus 12 official: the new flagship has a global launch date
The OnePlus 12 is proposed as one of the best smartphones of 2024, thanks to its high-level technical features. The display is a 6,82 inch curved LTPO AMOLED panel, with QHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The panel, produced by BOE, offers a maximum brightness of 4.500 nits for HDR content and 1.600 nits in normal use.
On the back, the OnePlus 12 sports a Hasselblad photographic compartment, consisting of a 50 MP main camera with Sony Lytia 808 sensora 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 6x hybrid zoom, and a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with IMX581 sensor.
The heart of the OnePlus 12 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, Qualcomm's most powerful and advanced. The processor is supported by a RAM memory that can reach up to 24 GB and a internal memory that can reach 1 TB. The operating system is OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14.
The battery of the device is one double 5400mAh cell, the largest ever seen on a smartphone OnePlus. The battery supports the wireless charging up to 50W and wireless reverse charging up to 10W wired charging, however, it can arrive up to 100W, ensuring a full charge in less than half an hour.
The smartphone also offers the latest connectivity technologies, such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and integrates a IR sensor and 3.2 USB Type-C port for faster data transfers. The OnePlus 12 is available in three colors: black, emerald green and white.
The price of the OnePlus 12 in China starts from 4.299 yuan (around 550 euros) for the 12/256 GB version. The price for the global market has not yet been announced, but it is assumed that it will be higher.
