Il OnePlus 12, the next flagship killer of OnePlus, he is ready to do his thing debuts in China on December 5th. However, fans of the brand will have to wait a little longer to see the device in global markets. A global marketing campaign has indeed revealed that the global launch of the OnePlus 12 Global will take place on 24 January 2024.
OnePlus 12 Global: launch date and camera specifications revealed
The date was confirmed by the support pages available on OnePlus' official websites for Europe, the US and India. The promotional campaign, which includes giveaways for the OnePlus 12, is scheduled to last from November 27th to January 23rd. Notably, a dedicated page on the OnePlus India website states that January 23 is "the day before the OnePlus 12 launch event."
The OnePlus 12 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and, in the Chinese variant, it will offer a maximum configuration of 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The device will be available in three colors: black, white and green. For the global market, however, the OnePlus 12 is expected to arrive with 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage and black and green colors.
But the real news of the OnePlus 12 concerns the photographic sector. The device will feature a triple rear camera with a 50MP main sensor Sony LYT-808a 64MP periscope camera Omnivision O64B and 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide angle lens.
The main camera boasts an aperture of f/1.6 and a focal length of 23mm, while the ultra-wide-angle lens has an aperture of f/2.2 and a focal length of 14mm. There periscope camera, on the other hand, has an aperture of f/2.6 and a focal length of 70mm, allowing one 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature the same 13-channel multispectral sensor than its predecessor, the OnePlus 11. This sensor is designed to capture natural colors in photos and will be used in conjunction with Hasselblad's color calibration expertise.
These photography specs largely align with those of the OnePlus Open. Additionally, the OnePlus 12's cameras will also benefit from HDR and portrait technologies from Oppo for better image processing.
In addition to the OnePlus 12, OnePlus will present three other products. The devices rumored to debut alongside the OP12 are the One Plus 12R (a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3) and TWS earphones OnePlus Buds 3 Pro.
