OnePlus, the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is about to launch its first foldable smartphone, called OnePlus Open. It is a device that shares the same design and technical features with the OPPO Find N3, another foldable smartphone that will be presented on the same day globally. The main difference between the two products is that OnePlus Open will be intended for foreign markets, while OPPO Find N3 will be sold mainly in China.

Specifically, the OnePlus Open will be officially presented in Mumbai, India, on 19 October 2023. Before the launch, blogger Digital Chat Station shared the main specifications of this product on Weibo, the popular Chinese social network. According to the blogger, the OnePlus Open is equipped with a main camera from 48MP with Sony LYT808 sensor and a 64MP periscope lens with OV64B sensor, which supports 3X optical zoom and 6X lossless zoom. The screen uses a 2K+120Hz OLED panel produced by BOE, which supports 1440Hz PWM brightness adjustment and reaches a peak brightness of 2800nit. The phone is equipped with a charger from 100W, but does not support wireless charging. The thickness when in closed mode is 11,7mm, while the thickness when open is 5,8mm, the weight is 239g.
The blogger did not specify whether the screen parameters refer to the internal or external screen. According to previously disclosed news about the OPPO Find N3, the phone comes with one internal 7,82 inch OLED screen with resolution 2268x2440p and one 6,31 inch OLED external screen with 2484x1116p resolution. The two products are expected to maintain the same configuration.
Prototypes of the OnePlus Open have been exhibited previously. From the video screenshots, you can see that this new phone uses a green glass back and metal frame with a right angle design. Although the prototype's camera module is partially covered, the rendered images show that this new phone uses the same circular camera module as the OPPO Find N3.
