It was July of last year when Oppo presented officially his wired charging for 125W smartphones. A revolution that preceded that of Xiaomi, a company that timidly announced a 200W recharge. Oppo, on the occasion of the Flash Charging Open Day, explained what are the action plans regarding the release of smartphones with 125W charging. Zhang Jialiang, head of the charging division of Oppo, who also spoke of the wireless remote charging, said that in spite of everything there are no problems in mass production of 125W charging technology.
The real problem is another, or rather there are two. On the one hand we have autonomy which must necessarily be less: for him and for the company, it is rather useless to have a small battery that recharges in a short time. In fact, when you think about it, it is.
The second reason is that there are "aspects that are still not satisfactory". Mr. Zhang did not specify what it is but we can guess that one of the darkest points is the heating of the charging cells. This is accompanied by a consequent danger to the safety of users, a danger that Oppo does not feel like putting aside.
For the moment, therefore, it seems that we will have to settle for Oppo's 65W charging. This is not a lightning-fast charge like the 125W one but we can certainly say that it is fast, safe and reliable.
