POCO Will F3 GT be a Redmi K40 Gaming with MediaTek Dimensity 1100?

A few days ago we reported about the possible launch of the global version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition but under the brand of POCO and with the name of “F3 GT”. Today, further updates seem to cast doubt on whether the two devices are perfectly identical.

POCO Will F3 GT be a Redmi K40 Gaming with MediaTek Dimensity 1100?

According to some new leaks, in fact, the POCO F3 GT would be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 as the CPU, instead of the Dimensity 1200 that we find on board the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.

The Dimensity 1100 is clearly a downgrade from the Dimensity 1200, but it is still a chipset with a 6nm manufacturing process that uses the ARM Cortex-A78 architecture and integrates a nine-core Mali-G77 GPU. At the same time, the Dimensity 1100 supports dual channel UFS 3.1 flash memory, so it has nothing to envy to other high-end CPUs.

POCO F3 GT Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will adopt a 120H OLED screen

The Dimensity 1100 also has excellent image processing capabilities. It supports a 108 megapixel camera and integrates a 3.0 APU from MediaTek for high computing power and greater energy savings.

However, we recommend taking this news with a grain of salt as even the Chinese leakster does not seem very sure which device it is. It could be next POCO F3 GT or even a “Lite” version of the K40 Gaming Edition.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition

As for the other specs, there shouldn't be big differences between POCO F3 GT and the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. We will therefore find a 6,67-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a tactile sampling rate of 480 Hz.

In the photographic sector, the device integrates a 64 megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 2 megapixel macro camera.

Finally, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition comes with a 5065mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging, to recharge the smartphone to 100% in just 42 minutes.

It would be a good thing, for that screen and those frequencies, the 1100 is enough. Slightly lower frequencies for consumption, heat and lower costs (the 1100 has 4 cortex at 2.6ghz, the 1200 1 at 3ghz and 3 at 2.6ghz.). Gpu side are the same, as well as in the ram. Come on, they come up with a nice cheap and durable phone, and hopefully cheap.
