POCO F4 caught on Geekbench with Snapdragon 870

News arrives on the Xiaomi front. In fact, after getting some certifications, the next POCO F4 was spotted poco ago on Geekbench. Let's find out all the details on the new certification and in general on the device in question.

POCO F4 will mount the Snapdragon 870

Xiaomi never stops. The Chinese brand, among various crossings and rebrands between the Redmi and POCO, continues to launch new smartphones on the world market. Today we see in particular the POCO F4, fresh from sighting on Geekbench. According to the best-informed rumors, this new terminal will be nothing more than the global version of the Redmi K40S. Here are the scores achieved by the smartphone in question.

This document only reiterates the rumors that POCO F4 will be precisely a rebrand of Redmi K40S, launched in China a few days ago. It can be deduced from the fact that it is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 processor and that the company usually renames its phones for the global market.

The Geekbench listing also shows that POCO F4 will be able to count on 8 GB of RAM and Android 12 as an operating system. The single-core and multi-core results are fair if we reflect with the other phones equipped with the same processor. For convenience, here are the main technical specifications of the phone, taken from previous certifications (FCC and IMDA):

  • display by 6,67 inches AMOLED FHD + 120Hz
  • SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 870
  • RAM LPDDR5
  • UFS storage 3.1
  • cameras: 48MP (wide, OIS) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro)
  • 20MP front camera
  • dual stereo speakers
  • side-mounted fingerprint sensor
  • MIUI 13 based on Android 12
  • battery from 4.500 mAh
  • 67W fast charging

All that remains is to wait for news from Xiaomi itself, which has not yet announced the release date of this device and in general has not yet expressed itself officially. We'll see if anything happens in the next few days.

Ridiculous a Poco f4, which should have power to spare, with the same processor as the previous model, should have fitted an 888, but poco even with X4 he is making it clear that he no longer has an interest in making phones with power and value for money in mind
