Xiaomi Mi4 Technical Specifications
The version of the Xiaomi Mi4 that we will be able to test is that with 16GB internal memory and 3G connectivity support. The 64GB storage model will, in fact, be available in China from next 12 August, while the version with 4G LTE European network support only at the end of the year.
The various models will all be equipped with powerful quad-core chipsets Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with 2.5Ghz clock, Flanked by Adreno GPU 330.
In addition to the aforementioned processor Snapdragon 801, the Xiaomi Mi4 will be equipped by 3GB of RAM RAM LP-DD3 a 933Mhz, 16 o 64 GB XMMUM eMMC internal memory.
As with the previous Mi3, a display with a diagonal from 5 inches with resolution Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel and can be used with gloves and wet hands. According to what emerged during the launch event, the construction of these displays has been entrusted to JDI and Sharp, therefore two companies in the sector that will guarantee panels of certainly excellent quality.
Even the photographic sector of the smartphone represents a progress compared to the previous Xiaomi Mi3, albeit not a real "revolution". The front camera is undoubtedly significantly improved, as it is a camera Sony from 8 mega-pixels with opening F1.8 and angle of 80 degrees. The back camera will instead be one 13 mega-pixels realized by Sony with F1.8 aperture, with double LED flash, auto-focus and recording support videos in 4K ed HDR in real time.
As for the smartphone battery, a non-removable drive is installed on the Xiaomi Mi4 3080mAh which, in addition to a good capacity, will guarantee support for fast charging, with about 60% of charge recharged in just an hour.
The battery, therefore, will not be removable, but it will still be possible to remove and replace the back cover with other interesting solutions that Xiaomi will launch shortly. Here are some examples:

The Xiaomi Mi4 will also be equipped with an infrared sensor, accompanied by an application to control various appliances, such as, for example, televisions, routers, lighting systems, air conditioners, systems dedicated to music playback and more. Obviously, this will not be one of the features that are generally sought as must on a smartphone, but it could still be really interesting.

Xiaomi Mi4 - First impressions
It is certainly exciting to be able to touch the Xiaomi Mi4 with your hand so few days after the presentation. The smartphone is, in fact, the flagship device of one of the companies that symbolize Chinese technology itself, so expectations are very high.
But before deepening the feelings of this first hands-on we will talk about the structure of the device quickly.
The dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi4 are of 139.2 x 67.5 x 8.9 mm for a total weight of 149 grams including battery.
Compared to the previous Top of the Range, the Xiaomi Mi3, for the Mi4 the company seems to have worked a lot on the design and, in particular, it has done so by minimizing the thickness of the side frames, which, associated with more rounded corners, make the device very comfortable in the grip and much easier to use with one hand. From all this comes a much better user experience than that offered by the Xiaomi Mi3, whose excessive frames represented a sore point, in the context of a device that is still excellent.
Classic positioning of the control keys (power button on / off and stand-by and volume rocker) all on the right side of the smartphone, as per Xiaomi tradition.
On the left side there is the only removable tray for the single micro SIM.
At the top we find the 3,5 mm jack for earphones and the infrared sensor.
In the bottom, the micro USB slot and system speaker.
The first thing you notice is that the design represents a real change compared to the previous Xiaomi Mi3 and to the other smartphones of the company. Without a doubt, there are inspirations from other products, but the result is a smartphone with a truly beautiful, well-finished and overall original design. Attention to detail is now a hallmark for Xiaomi products, but the Mi4 could be the company's most aesthetically pleasing smartphone
The body of the Xiaomi Mi4 is made with a durable aluminum frame and I must say that the solidity of the phone is easily perceptible even during this first contact.
The first impressions are of course focusing on the design of the device, which, for the cure I have already mentioned in the premise, immediately catches the attention. For any other type of assessment we refer to the full review, which will come after the classic period of intense use.

The premise because this smartphone reveals a top of range of excellent quality are all there. The hardware is top-of-the-range, the dimensions are contained, at least for today's standards, the design is very nice and cautious, although clearly inspired by other products, and the MIUI V6 promises great novelties. Also the good-quality battery and the Snapdragon 801 processor could offer considerable autonomy.
