The MI5C is one of the smartphones expected by Xiaomi but has not released official news about the device's output at the moment. It is assumed that the launch will take place during the a press conference that will be held on December 23 in Beijing, in which Xiaomi will present the new MI Notebook Pro as well as other products, just like the MI MIX presented surprise during the release of Mi Note 2.
Rumors circulating on the net talked that the Xiaomi MI5C adopted one proprietary processor named Pinecone, but apparently this has been denied in the last few hours, and it seems that the new processor will be presented in the spring of next year.
Recently some netizens have published a post on the social Weibo regarding the Xiaomi MI5C model and the release by the end of this month. Then enrich the news, pictures of the press conference where Xiaomi will present new products.
Unfortunately, we have not confirmed that even if the Xiaomi MI5C called Meri will use a Snapdragon 625 processor. In addition, the equipment includes an 8 Megapixel front camera while the rear one will be 12 Megapixel, 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory, dual SIM dual standby support, 4G and VoLTE connectivity.

The classic white version will not be present, but only the Rose Gold, Gold, Black colors and the Xiaomi Mi 5 will have Quick Charge 3.0 technology for a quick battery charging.
