Design
Il Proscenic M8 Pro measures 350 * 350 * 98mm, has an elegant and pleasant appearance thanks to the glossy finish in the upper gray part. The appearance is the classic one of a cylinder from which only the turret of the laser LIDAR sensor for navigation appears. The powder tank is 280ml, not many but still sufficient considering the presence of the collection base.
La self-emptying base it is very compact, only 355 * 195 * 280mm since the emptying system is placed on the side of the robot, with a consequent shorter, more efficient and less bulky channel. The dirt collected by the robot is accumulated in the bag which has a autonomy of about 60 days. Not missing a integrated filter which avoids the escape of particles up to 10um. On the base they are also present the buttons for starting and returning the robot, and the warning lights that warn of recharging and emptying.
La packaging is very accurate and full of spare parts: very detailed Italian manual, cleaning comb / brush, spare cloth, spare rotate brush, spare HEPA filter, 2 spare bags.
An added value of the Proscenic M8 pro is the remote control to control many of the main functions: return to base, direction arrows, start / pause, zone cleaning, washing, suction power, voice feedback mute. It seems like an obsolete accessory, but for its intended audience (not always young and geeky), having an alternative to the application is very useful.
Cleaning
Il Proscenic M8 Pro has a suction pressure of 3000Pa, therefore higher than the average of the products in this range. The good power, selectable on 3 levels, guarantees always thorough cleaning even on carpets and is ideal for those with pets.
Regardless of the chosen suction level, the robot is able to recognize the presence of carpets and temporarily increase the power to maximum.
To help the 170mm main brush, there is also a small one rotating side brush which reaches the corners and sends the dirt under the robot which then collects and sucks it up.
For a more thorough cleaning there is the function with "passage to Y" which forces the robot to carry out up to three passes on each single zone.
The suction result is always satisfactory also thanks to theexcellent iPNAS 4.0 laser navigation system which allows precise navigation and great accuracy. The algorithm divides the room into zones (up to 7) allowing the robot to focus on single areas without ever leaving anything out.
THEavailable autonomy is sufficient for areas up to 320sqm thanks to the large 5200mAh battery that recharges in poco more than 5 hours.
Il Proscenic M8 Pro is also capable of scrubbing the floor while it sucks thanks to the 300ml tank and the large mop placed immediately under the robot. It is possible to select the quantity of water to be dispensed in order to customize the washing according to the type of floor.
The result, as in all robots that use this system, it is appreciable only if carried out frequently almost daily. It is in fact a "passive" wash that is not able to remove stains on the floor.
Application
To manage all the activities, we find the excellent application of proscenic. Translated very well and very clear to use, it allows exploit the Proscenic M8 Pro to its fullest potential.
The generated map is accurate and automatically divided into rooms which can be chosen for a partial cleaning of the house. It is possible to create several different maps in the case of multi-storey houses.
It is possible to create forbidden areas or virtual barriers to limit the range of action of the Robot.

Ithe Proscenic M8 Pro it is a good quality product with medium-high range characteristics combined with a very competitive price.
It is a balanced robot in which all the functions (suction, navigation, emptying) behave very well e they can fulfill any expectations. Floor washing, as in all products of this type, is not particularly accurate but still capable of lighten the daily cleaning load.
