Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100: More power and less power for our smartwatch!
Who follows with some attention the industry of SmartWatch and it means at least a few hardware specifications, will know that most of these devices share the onboard processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400.
It is a chip that has done its job perfectly, but that, in fact, was conceived not for intelligent wearers but exclusively for low-end smartphones. Who does not remember the mythical Xiaomi Redmi 1s equipped with this SoC? 
Given that the smartwatch market, and more generally intelligent wearables, is constantly growing, Qualcomm he thought it well to come up with a solution designed exclusively for this kind of product, a solution that seems to be already really good on paper.
I'm talking about Snapdragon 2100, which chip, compared to its predecessor Snapdragon 400, comes with a smaller design, about the 30% less, with better performance and lower power consumption than the 25%.
Even the embedded sensors in it seem to be better equipped, which, as stated by the American chipmaker, would allow more complex and consequently more precise calculation algorithms. We will therefore have much more efficient cardiofrequenzimeters, counters that do not lose but above all do not add a step, and sensors able to reveal the calories consumed with extreme precision.
It's not over here guys! Qualcomm it is the idea that a wearable should always be connected, which is why it has equipped its soC of all kinds of connectivity possible: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and even LTE 4G.
Unfortunately, no information has been given about the release time of that chip or the devices that will equip it. LG has already stated that it will surely produce devices with it Snapdragon 2100 and I believe that even companies like Huawei, Xiaomi and company will not delay making their move.
