realme Pad will not compete with Xiaomi Mi Pad 5: here is the processor

realmepad it will be the first tablet of the cousin of Oppo and its debut, also in the Global variant, is around the corner. As for the specs, we know which display will mount the tablet and the first specifications (albeit unofficial). Yesterday, however, an Indian leaker claimed to know which processor will be mounted on the realme Pad. Unfortunately we have to say that we were a bit disappointed as it is not a very new generation SoC. We have already seen this on several smartphones. So let's go see what it is.

realme Pad will not have a Qualcomm processor, but a MediaTek. According to rumors, we will find a MediaTek Helio G80. Satisfied?

A live photo of the box of the "promising" realme Pad tablet has been posted on the Web. Its preview is scheduled for September 9th. At the same time, an insider claimed that the device is platform-based MediaTek Helio G80. This is far from the most powerful platform, which also debuted in early 2020. Popular and cheap smartphones like Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Prime and Poco M2 have this processor.

Of course, the Realme tablet won't compete with it Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC. But the realme Pad device should be cheaper than the Xiaomi. Furthermore, the device is credited with one 10.4 "OLED screen, an 8MP front camera and a 12MP sensor main camera, 4 speakers, a 7100mAh battery.

As anticipated, the presentation of the product has been decided: on 9 September it will be presented. However, it was not confirmed on launch day. Suppose that the Global model, for India first and for Europe after, it will be launched at a later time. Needless to talk about prices, although it should be pretty cheap.
