On the same day that Xiaomi launches its new Redmi 10A, always in India also brings out Redmi 10 power. This is a device that represents an improved version of Redmi 10, a smartphone unveiled last March by the Chinese sub brand (which should not be confused with the redmi 10 "Global" launched last summer). Having said that, now we can go and discover the technical characteristics of this terminal, and obviously also its launch price.
Redmi 10 Power: technical characteristics
Let's start from the main elements of the Redmi 10 Power data sheet. It does not present substantial changes compared to the Indian version of the Redmi 10. First, it mounts a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 680, combined with different cuts of memory and internal storage, up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory (expandable via microSD). Therefore, certainly a remarkable hardware sector and that will make the phone run in the best way.
At the screen level, the device in question integrates a 6,7 ″ IPS LCD display e HD + resolution. Definitely a bright panel, even if an FHD could be expected. As for the photographic sector, Redmi 10 Power is equipped with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary camera for depth of field and a 5MP front camera. The solution adopted is a bit strange, since - despite having four slots in the rear camera module, the smartphone only has two photo sensors.
The main elements of the technical sheet are completed by the 6000 mAh with support for 18W fast charging (even if there is a 10W adapter in the purchase package) and the operating system Android 11, with a possible future upgrade to Android 12 (but from this point of view there are no official confirmations). Battery side, Redmi 10 Power guarantees a reliable and long-lasting autonomy: surely you can get to the end of the day of intense use with still a little remaining charge.
On the software side, the absence of Android 12 appears relevant, but it cannot be ruled out that the new operating system can be integrated. From this point of view, however, there are no certainties.
The design of this device deserves a separate chapter, starting with the leatherette back cover. It is a solution poco adopted, for this reason certainly interesting and helps to give an even more exclusive touch to Redmi 10 Power. And it is not certain that Xiaomi cannot adopt this particular finish even for one of its next smartphones destined for the Italian market. From this point of view we will know more in the future (some rumors speculate that this smartphone can be launched in the rebranded global market, with the name of POCO C40).
Having made this overview, we can now go and find out the price and availability of this smartphone, which we do not yet know for the truth whether it will arrive in Italy or not.
Redmi 10 Power: price and availability
We now come to talk about the price and availability of this device, which is presented on the market in the Sporty Orange and Power Black color variants. Both of these versions are equipped with a leatherette finish of the black cover and for the huge camera module, which also integrates the rear fingerprint sensor. And this too is certainly a rather curious solution adopted.
That said, as far as the price is concerned, Redmi 10 Power was presented in India at the figure of around 180 €. At the moment there is no news about a possible European landing of the smartphone, or a similar model. We will see in the coming weeks if Xiaomi will give announcements to this effect.
