This morning Redmi officially released the first render of the next Redmi K50 Extreme Edition in the “Silver Trace” color, but not only.

From the image, we can see that the rear design of the K50 Extreme Edition is inherited from the Xiaomi 12 series. It uses a rectangular module, as well as the top main camera layout, with the lenses on the bottom left and the flash on the right.
Along with the design, the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition has also updated the main camera, which is expected to use the 6-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM108 sensor. The sensor supports video up to 8K and photos with 1,92μm large pixels.
In addition to the shape of the camera module, Redmi's smartphone uses a large curved AG glass to streamline the size and improve the grip, just like on the Xiaomi 12.
Also today, the brand revealed that the K50 Extreme Edition adopts a custom flat OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The high resolution allows you to reach a PPi ratio of 446, so the details will be similar to those produced by a 2K screen. At the same time, the panel has a low power consumption, almost like that of a 1080p panel, so users won't have to choose between battery life and high definition.
As for performance, the smartphone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chip and adopts a fairly aggressive configuration, improving performance within video games.
For the rest, the device will also be equipped with a 5000mAh battery; has 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB storage combinations and will be launched with MIUI 13 operating system based on Android 12.
Finally, it has been reported that the smartphone will support under-screen fingerprint recognition.
