Xiaomi has just launched a new smartphone from the Redmi Note 10 series in Japan. As the title suggests, the device is called Redmi Note 10 JE and differs from our local version for a very important feature.
Redmi Note 10 JE presented in Japan: the first IP68 waterproof Redmi
So let's start with this feature, or the presence of the IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating.
As we know, the IP protection level consists of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of protection against dust and foreign bodies. The second number indicates the degree of impermeability of the appliance against humidity and water infiltrations. The higher the number, the higher the waterproof rating and the higher the protection level.
The Redmi Note 10 JE with its IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating has reached the standards we typically see on high-end smartphones. So a really interesting smartphone for those who have always wanted an IP68 waterproof smartphone but do not intend to spend too much for a real flagship.
Unfortunately, however, from what we know at the moment the Redmi Note 10 JE will only go on sale in Japan with UQ mobile and other operators. The price of the JE version is 28.765 yen (about 220 euros), and will be officially launched on August 13th.
In terms of the basic configuration, the Redmi Note 10 JE uses a 6,5-inch screen with a resolution of FHD + and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor. Here too this is an important difference compared to the different models of the Note 10 series launched in Italy.
As for the photos, the Note 10 JE integrates an 8MP front camera, while on the back we find a 48M main camera, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth of field sensor.
Finally, from the standpoint of autonomy, the smartphone adopts a 4800mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
