Also Redmi Note 7 updates to MIUI 12.5 and goes to keep company with Notes redmi 8 Pro and other devices that recently received the same update. Xiaomi is proceeding like a train in the release of the update in question, which brings, in the vast majority of cases, even Android 11. This is not the case with this device, however, which we do not know if it will officially receive it or not. But having said that, let's go and see all the relevant data update in question.
Redmi Note 7 updates to MIUI 12.5 Global Stable, but no Android 11. This is the release V12.5.1.0.QFGMIXM for everyone
Unlike many other MIUI 12.5 updates released in the last period, the one for Redmi Note 7 does not appear to be Mi Pilot. Consequently, the release should be for everyone and not just exclusive to a range of users (beta testers). Obviously we expect the rollout to travel quickly, albeit in stages. Within a few days in any case, all users should have the package delivered. In this regard, let's see all the info.
MIUI 12.5 for Redmi Note 7 comes with build number V12.5.1.0.QFGMIXM. As we can see from the initials MI in the build code, this is the package intended for the ROM Global. . Specifically, the Stable one. Basically, those who have never made use of custom ROMs and use the "clean" Xiaomi MIUI, will soon be able to take advantage of all the news of MIUI 12.5. In this regard, we remind you that the initials MI distinguishes all various branches of the ROMs, from Global to Russian, from Indian to Indonesian.
As usual, we leave the download link of the recovery at the end of the article, remembering however that it is not advisable to install this package. The reason is simple: since it is an “early” build, just released, you could run into compatibility problems. We might as well wait a few days plus the arrival of the update to MIUI 12.5 via OTA which is certainly more stable.
Hi Gianluca,
a profane question: is it possible that as of today, 29 August 2021, the Redmi note 7 is not yet updated to MIUI 12.5?
In other words, my phone is stopped at 12.0.3.0 .. everything normal?
Thank you very much!
Melania
Hi Melania, can you make sure that your smartphone is not branded, that is, perhaps purchased through operators such as Vodafone, Tim, etc.? If so, the update (any update) would arrive months late.
Thanks for the quick reply,
in reality it is not branded, I bought it on the internet in September 2019 and if I remember correctly it should be the "global" version (I hope not to say nonsense, but I seem to remember something similar). I often check that a possible update of the operating system is available (I have the doubt that some malfunctions of the phone are bugs), but everything is still at 12.0.3.0.
I also tried to download what appears as the "latest package", but it is always the same MIUI version. Ideas?
Can you tell me all the alphanumeric code that goes with the numbers 12.0.3.0.?
Of course, it's MIUI-V12.0.3.0.QFGEUXM
So Melania, your ROM is Global as you said, but it belongs to the EU (European) branch. It can happen that updates for some branches arrive late (but also early sometimes). In this case I can confirm that for Redmi Note 7, MIUI 12.5 has not arrived for the EU.
I just have to be patient then, hoping it will arrive soon 🙂
Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism, see you next time!
Hola Melania yo venía postponing the actualización to Miui 12.0.3.0 QFGEUXM y recién hoy changed to 12.5.1.0 QFGEUXM… Estoy en la versión 11.0.1.0 with Android 10. He leído que actualizando disminuye el rendimiento de batería. For it ready me follow me quedando en miui 11 ya que logro hacer 8hs de pantalla entre juegos y use cotidiano. Saludos
Oh yes, but don't worry, it reaches 100%!
Imagine, always available!
