A few days ago, the Chinese smartphone maker Meizu presented the new Meizu Note 9, a medium range device with a fairly interesting hardware sector and a competitive price; or so they thought.
The vice president of Xiaomi and general manager of the Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, would have attacked the Asian competitor precisely on the price of the terminal. According to the Xiaomi executive, the Meizu Note 9 costs too much for what it offers and then compared it with the best smartphone Redmi ever produced, or the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Lu Weibing said that the 7 Note has a better image sensor, the Sony IMX586, a two-sided glass Corning Gorilla Glass fifth-generation design, is available in a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, finally comes with a longer warranty than the competitor.
On the other hand, the Meizu Note 9 has a sensor from "48MP", but it is the Samsung GM1 already seen on the Redmi Note 7 which is technically a step below the Sony option. It does not have the two fronts in CG5, it is only available with 4GB of RAM if you want the 128GB of internal memory (otherwise 64GB with 6GB of RAM) and has the Chinese 12 standard warranty, instead of the 18 offered by Redmi.

As for the aspects in common, the two smartphones are equipped with the very good Snapdragon 675 capable of reaching over 180000 points on AnTuTu (on the Meizu Note 9) and are both powered by a large battery 4000mAh.
In any case, Meizu's response was not long in coming. On the Chinese social network Weibo the profile of the company has in fact shared a post in which he says that Meizu has focused more on the software side. The Meizu Note 9 will have a highly customized and optimized Android skin to get the most out of every single component.

Having neither device in hand, it becomes really difficult which one is best at the moment. The Redmi Note 7 Pro takes advantage of the slightly more premium hardware configuration, while the Meizu Note 9 may be able to surprise us with a more advanced camera firmware and a further optimized operating system.
