Redmi Pad Pro 5G: the Indian version appears on Google Play Console

Redmi, the sub brand of Xiaomi, continues to work hard in the tablet field. Earlier this month, the company unveiled its tablet in China: the Redmi Pad Pro. This device, immediately after its launch, aroused great interest, so much so that there was talk of an imminent distribution in several markets, including India.

Recently, the global version of the Redmi Pad Pro has been spotted in the Google Play Console database, and now Indian and Latin American variants have also made their appearance, suggesting a wider release in the international market.

The specifications listed for the Indian and Latin American variants of the Redmi Pad Pro are identical to those of the Chinese counterpart. However, what is striking is the marketing name of the Indian version, which carries the model number 24074RD2I and is called Redmi Pad Pro 5G, thus indicating support for 5G connectivity.

In contrast, the Latin American edition, with model number 2405CRPFDL, does not mention “5G” in its name. Both versions are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, but interestingly, the Chinese edition doesn't have a cellular variant. While it appears that China may receive its 5G version in the future, what appears certain is that the Indian market will get the 5G version of the device.

We remind you that the Redmi Pad Pro boasts a IPS LCD display from 12.1 in and with a resolution of 2.5K and 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet, moved by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, is available in China with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. It features a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and features an 8-megapixel front camera and another 8-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back. The operating system is HyperOS based on Android 14.

As for us Italians, it is expected that the Pad Pro may be renamed as Poco Pad in the global market. Now all we have to do is wait for the first official info.
